Jill has experience in many aspects of the industry, including as a professional actor,
producer and acting coach.
Her training includes a degree in acting from
NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
She studied at Circle-in-the-Square Theatre School, and The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
Jill keeps up to date with many ongoing classes - for example workshops with Larry Moss and
advanced level Bob Krakower Technique.
Gaining unique insights into other valuable aspects of the business, Jill interned and worked at the legendary Public Theater in Manhattan, and Royal Court Theatre in London under the respective stewardships of Joseph Papp and Max Stafford-Clark.
Jill assisted the esteemed casting directors
Howard Feuer & Jeremy Ritzer,
and was afforded the privilege of being involved in the casting process of Broadway shows, major Feature Films & Primetime Network TV in the presence of the industry’s top directors, producers and actors.
Jill Executive Produced award-winning short film,
The Procession, starring Lily Tomlin and
Jesse Tyler Furguson.
The film debuted at
the TriBeCa Film Festival,
continues to screen at festivals around the world, and was picked up for international distribution.
Jill teaches acting classes and
offers additional private coaching at the
Screen Actors Guild Conservatory in New York City.
She coaches & teaches in the NY/NJ area,
and also via Zoom, working mainly with actors referred by agents and managers to prepare and tape auditions. Jill also offers classes ranging from scene study to improvisation for actors.
Jill's acting students are booking commercials, feature films, episodics, as well as industrials, short films, and theater roles. She has coached conservatory auditions for actors accepted into the finest programs. Students' recent work includes: Bull, New Amsterdam,
Blue Bloods, FBI: Most Wanted, Joker, Madame Secretary, Orange is the New Black, High Maintenance,
Law & Order (many!), Billions, When They See Us, Saturday Night Live!, The Blacklist, The Irishman, as well as regional Off Broadway, and Broadway Theatres.
